11 Disciplines. $5 Million Up for Grabs at GOTF 2025

Now that Phygital Contenders: Abu Dhabi – Football is over, the latest news from GOTF HQ will grab the attention of phygital athletes and fans around the world alike - so here’s everything you need to know:

The Games of the Future 2025 will have a total prize pool of $5 million. Athletes will compete across 11 disciplines during six days of pure adrenaline, which will happen at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC) in Abu Dhabi, from 18 - 23 December.

So, the world’s best phygital athletes will be coming to the UAE’s capital, ready to make history and chase glory in front of a global audience - fighting for the champion titles and their share of the $5 million prize pool.

As well as fan favourites Phygital Football ($600,000 prize pool), Phygital Basketball ($400,000 prize pool), Phygital Shooter 5-on-5 ($150,000 prize pool), and Phygital Dancing ($50,000 prize pool) being at this year’s Games of the Future, it will also include the disciplines below:

  • Phygital Fighting.MMA: Athletes first compete in a fighting video game, then continue the bout in a physical arena. ($150,000 prize pool)
  • Battle Royale: A competitive format where clubs fight to be the last club standing. ($700,000 prize pool)
  • MOBA PC: A Multiplayer Online Battle Arena tournament played on PC. ($1,000,000 prize pool)
  • MOBA Mobile: A Multiplayer Online Battle Arena tournament played on mobile. ($900,000 prize pool)
  • Drone Racing: Pilots navigate high speed drones through an obstacle course using first-person view headsets. ($250,000 prize pool)
  • VR Game: Virtual environments where players rely on reflexes and spatial awareness. ($50,000 prize pool)
  • Battle of Robots: Remote-controlled robots face off in fast-paced, head-to-head combat. ($400,000 prize pool)

Right from the start, the pressure will be on the competitors to deliver their best performances as any slip-up could mean the trophy and title slipping away from their grasp. So, expect high-class competition, unpredictable moments, and non-stop energy as they battle for their lives.

Across the whole competition, fans will see six full-on days where athletes will aim to secure super-stardom through their physical power and their digital agility. There is no room for failure at this level so athletes must be ready to perform under the most intense pressure they’ve experience in this ground-breaking and exciting format.

With ADNEC as the backdrop, Abu Dhabi will transform into a futuristic arena, creating the ideal environment for the ultimate world-class phygital sports showcase that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
