The road to GOTF
Are you hungry for glory and keen to take your place at Games of the Future? The easiest way to get in is to qualify.
Here’s how it works – it’s a four-step journey:
- Phygital Origins – These are your local tournaments, your first big shot to make your mark.
- Phygital Rivals – Next up: the national stage. Winners from Phygital Origins battle it out here to prove they’ve got what it takes to move on.
- Phygital Contenders – Time to go international! This stage is all about the top teams from Phygital Rivals competing against each other. Only the very best will move on to the grand finals.
- Games of the Future – This is it: the main event, the pinnacle of all tournaments, the ultimate phygital showdown of the year. Will you and your squad make it?
The phygital landscape
Phygital Origins and Phygital Rivals tournaments are organized and run by members of the World Phygital Community (WPC)
These are the official organizations that own the rights to host phygital tournaments in each country. By competing in these events, you’ll earn ranking points. Stack up those points, and you can boost your chances of qualifying for the big leagues.
Phygital Contenders and the spectacular Games of the Future are overseen by Phygital International
They choose the host city and work with them to make sure every Games of the Future is next-level awesome. Plus, they team up with the WPC to make sure only the best of the best from around the globe make it to the finals.
How to apply
Think you and your team have what it takes to compete at the highest level?
The first step is to contact your nearest WPC member. You can check out the full list of WPC members here.
No WPC member in your country?
Don’t worry, you can apply to play a tournament in any country. Your nationality isn’t an issue – everyone’s welcome to join the fun!
Now let’s talk phygital disciplines. WPC members organize tournaments for the four core disciplines:
- Phygital Football
- Phygital Basketball
- Phygital Dancing
- Phygital Shooter
Some WPC members run all four, while others focus on one or two. Make sure you contact the right member for the discipline you’re looking to compete in.
Once you’ve connected, your WPC member will give you all the details, such as how to sign up and which events you can take part in etc.
