The hunt is on for GOTF host cities 2028, 2029 and 2030
The world’s biggest phygital sport tournament is expanding and looking for its next host cities.
The Games of the Future – the tournament that blends elite sports with cutting-edge tech – is entering its next phase of global expansion and is now inviting bids from cities who want to host the 2028, 2029 and 2030 events.
The Games of the Future is an event unlike anything else in sport and was specially created for a new generation of fans and athletes. The Games of the Future 2025 in Abu Dhabi recently demonstrated the scale and global appeal of phygital sport:
- More than 850 participants from over 60 countries
- 40,000+ fans on-site
- 461 million broadcast views
- 388 million social media views
Now, with GOTF 2026 heading to Astana, Kazakhstan (29 July- 9 August), and countries including Brazil, Serbia and Uzbekistan already shortlisted to host the 2027 edition, the next chapter of the Games of the Future is taking shape.
Hosting the Games of the Future means giving young people a stage, driving digital innovation, and telling the world that your city gets where sport is going and wants to be part of building it.
The path to hosting starts with you. If you want to see the Games of the Future come to your city, then make some noise! Talk to your local sports authorities, push your representatives, and build the case.
Cities interested in hosting must submit a Letter of Intent by 1 August 2026, supported by an endorsement from relevant government or official authorities.
The future of sport is being built now – and your city could be at the center of it.
