Dota 2 returns for GOTF 2026 with $1M prize pool
Dota 2 is officially back for the Games of the Future 2026.
From 31 July to 5 August 2026, the world's top Dota 2 teams will make their way to Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, to compete for a massive US$1M prize pool — one of the biggest of the season.
The action will unfold at the Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov Martial Arts Palace, a world-class venue with a 5,000-seat arena that is more than ready to host the intensity and drama that only Dota 2 can deliver.
Fans who followed GOTF 2025 in Abu Dhabi will remember just how intense the Dota 2 action can be, as team Win delivered a flawless run through the tournament, going undefeated before securing a 2:0 victory in the Grand Final to claim the title. Played out in front of packed arenas and watched by more than 40 million fans worldwide, the competition became one of the defining moments of the Games, underlining Dota 2’s place among the most compelling titles on the global stage.

Dota 2 will be one of eight disciplines featured at GOTF 2026, uniting globally recognised titles, the world’s best gamers and elite athletes on a single international stage for 12 days of electrifying competition.
