First Wave of Phygital Stars Confirmed for the Games of the Future 2025
With just two weeks to go until Abu Dhabi becomes the global capital of phygital sport, the excitement is officially building.
Today, we’re thrilled to reveal the first clubs and athletes who will step into the spotlight at ADNEC from 18–23 December for the Games of the Future 2025. This first wave already shows one thing clearly: the level of competition this year is going to be extraordinary.
Here are some of the first confirmations on each discipline:
Battle of Robots will count with some most renowned names in global robot combat including:
- Team Saint, creators of the iconic robot Zadkiel.
- Team Eruption, the father-and-son team with 12 national and international championships.
- Team Monsoon, winners of the 2025 UK Extreme Robots Championship.
- Toon, who are competing with their robot TR4 and are captained by Alex Brown, who became the youngest ever UK champion aged just nine years old.
For the highly anticipated MOBA Mobile.MLBB competition, the following teams have confirmed their participation:
- RRQ Hoshi, one of Indonesia’s most successful Mobile Legends teams.
- Aurora Gaming, returning to the Games of the Future after strong performances at the inaugural event last year.
VR Game.HADO fans will be over the moon with the stellar lineup that we have comingto Abu Dhabi:
- MISTA
- Team Rock
- ATROTOS
- IDOL PRODUCER
- HADO England
- Team IDK
For Phygital Fighting.FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves, a team of MMA fighters called GOR MMA will join the ultimate crossover between traditional combat sport and digital fighting mastery with strength, speed and precision to both arenas.
Meanwhile, Phygital Drone Racing event will see the inclusion of:
- Team BDS who have Minchan Kim, the winner of the 2023 FAI World Drone Racing Championship and Yuki Hashimoto, who is 18 years old and won the gold medal at the World Games in China as their pilots.
- Tech Drone League will also take part. They boast Atakan Mercimek, who took third place at the FAI Drone Racing World Cup Turkey Drone Race in 2024, as one of their pilots.
From drones to VR, from robot combat to esports brilliance, these first names confirm that GOTF 2025 is shaping up to be one of the most competitive, and most electrifying editions yet.
