Games of the Future 2025 – Abu Dhabi
From December 18, the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) welcomed the world as it hosted the spectacular Games of the Future. This magnificent venue greeted thousands of phygital athletes and fans for what proved to be a truly unforgettable tournament.
Already a renowned sporting city – it hosts the FI Grand Prix, the NBA, UFC and dozens of golf tournaments – Abu Dhabi, as a famed centre of technology and innovation, provided the perfect stage for competitions featuring the most exciting disciplines – including Phygital Football, Phygital Basketball, and Phygital Shooter among others.
Over six days of fast-paced action and next-level excitement, the event successfully showcased the fusion of physical and digital sports on a global scale.
Phygital Contenders: Abu Dhabi GOTF 2025Games of the Future 2026 – Astana
Astana is set to host the Games of the Future 2026, from July 18 – August 1 next year. Multiple venues in Kazakhstan’s capital are already preparing to stage competitions across 13 hybrid disciplines – with an eye-watering $US10 million in prize money to be won. Astana will also debut the Games of the Future City – an interactive fan zone featuring exhibitions, immersive tech and a variety of fun experiences.
Having successfully hosted Expo 2017 and other major international events, Astana combines ambition, tech-savvy energy, and organizational strength. As the world gathers in 2026, the city promises to set a new standard for the Games of the Future.
