Battle of Robots sees teams battle against each other in the perfect union of man and machine. Each team has created their own remote-controlled, armored machines and have one thing in mind – to destroy their opposition's robot. Metal battles metal in this fast-paced, heart-pumping competition. It’s pure mechanical warfare.

How Battle of Robots works

Sixteen teams take part in the competition, with the organizers deciding the pairings for the opening round matches. After the first round, winners go through to the quarterfinals, semifinals, and the final. There's also a third-place match play-off.

Each match is a single contest between two robots and lasts three minutes. The match ends when either the time runs out or one of the robots loses its ability to move.

There are also additional matches for the losers of the first round to confirm the final rankings from 9-16th place.

Teams

Each team has between two and five athletes. Athletes of all ages and genders can take part.

How the winner is decided

The winner of each match is determined in one of two ways:

by having the highest score when the time expires. Scoring is based on three criteria assessed by the referees – Damage, Aggression, and Control
or by having the only robot still functioning while the opponent's is damaged or flipped over and unable to move.

The winner of the competition is the team that wins the final.
