Battle Royale competition format

All teams compete against each other at the same time across a series of matches called a session. A session runs over several days, with multiple matches each day and at least one scheduled break. Teams score points in two ways – by how long they survive in each match (placement) and by how many opponents they eliminate.

Eliminations

Every player has health points (HP), and some games also give players shields. Each hit they take reduces these. A player is eliminated when their HP and any remaining shields reach zero. The player who lands the final blow is credited with the elimination. Once a player has been eliminated, they can't earn any more eliminations in that match.

Teams

The number of athletes depends on the game and its format.

How the winner is decided

In each match, the last team standing earns the most placement points. The overall winner is the team with the highest total across every match in the session. That means a team can win the title without winning a single match, as long as it places well and racks up eliminations consistently. Every point counts, and the standings can shift right up to the final match.
