Battle Royale is an intense esports discipline that combines survival gameplay, strategic positioning, and high-pressure eliminations to create a fast-paced and exciting experience for both seasoned gamers and newcomers. Teams have to blend good communication, quick reactions, and smart decision-making as they compete to be the last ones standing. Battle Royale is intense, and it delivers non-stop action from start to finish in every match.

Competition Format

All teams compete together against each other in a series of matches, which is called a “session”. The session takes place over multiple days, with several matches being played each day. There is at least one break for teams in the middle of the day's matches. Teams earn points based on their placement in each match and for every elimination they achieve.

Eliminations

Each player in the game has a HP value, which reflects the character's health. With each attack or shot, this is reduced. An elimination occurs when one player completely depletes another player's HP and any remaining shield. For each elimination of another player, the successful player achieves elimination credit. However, elimination credit is not awarded to a player for any portion of a match following that player's own elimination.

The number of athletes depends on the game and its format.

How winner is decided

In each match, the last team standing on the map awards the highest placement points. The winner of the whole competition is the team that earns the most points across all the matches in the session. This means that teams that may not win each match but if they score well through all matches and eliminations, they can still be the overall winner of the competition. This approach creates an exciting viewing experience, with every placement point worth fighting for, even into the last match where everything can change.
