From Phygital Contenders to GOTF 2026: The final qualifiers are in!

14/06/2026

The road to Games of the Future 2026 is complete. Five days of high-stakes competition at Phygital Contenders Astana 2026 crowned champions and settled the last qualification spots in Phygital Football, Phygital Basketball and Phygital Dancing.

More than 200 competitors representing over 20 countries arrived in Astana with the same goal: secure a place at the biggest event in phygital sport. Some dominated from the opening day. Others fought through dramatic battles that went down to the final stages. For the lucky few, the prize is a return to Astana this summer to compete for phygital sport's biggest titles.

Phygital Football

Qualification was never straightforward. Playoff drama, knockout heartbreak and tense quarterfinal battles shaped the standings all week.

It was a close match that went down to the wire with ACF x Allur emerging victorious and securing both the Phygital Contenders title and qualification for Games of the Future 2026.

Joining them in Astana will be NS Team, KMF Titograd and FC Olympic Phygital, all of whom came through a highly competitive field to book their places at the Games of the Future 2026.

Phygital Basketball

No team looked more dominant than ZM NITUI. Unbeaten across four days of competition, they capped off an impressive campaign by lifting the Phygital Basketball trophy and securing their place at Games of the Future 2026.

They will be joined by MINSK, Valencia Basket and Triada, who also produced standout performances across both the digital and physical stages to qualify.

Phygital Dancing

Andres Guardo took the win after two days of standout performances. Behind him, Sagdi, Susan Huertas and Sergio Mayta saw off the rest of a highly competitive field, ultimately earning their spots on the GOTF 2026 phygital dancefloor.

Next stop: Games of the Future Astana 2026

With qualification now complete, attention turns to Games of the Future 2026.

In 45 days, more than 800 participants from over 50 countries will arrive in Astana to compete across phygital and esports disciplines, all chasing the same title: Games of the Future champion. The event will feature Phygital Football, Phygital Basketball, Phygital Dancing, Phygital Shooter and Phygital Fighting alongside esports competitions including MOBA PC, MOBA Mobile and Battle Royale.
