PlayTime and Yakult Brothers set for Dota 2 final showdown

The MOBA PC Dota 2 presented by CenterCredit semifinals took place at the Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov Martial Arts Palace on 4 August, which saw four clubs battling for a spot in the final.

The Games of the Future 2026 powered by Samruk-Kazyna title now awaits the winners in the championship match – while the losing sides will now compete in the third-place playoff. Here’s how the day went.

Day 5 Results – Semifinals (4 August)

PlayTime 2-0 Team resilience

The opening game remained even for more than 30 minutes before PlayTime began to take control. Building on a crucial lead, they gradually moved out of reach to claim the first point of the series, with Hector "Wits" Maximo Orozco Alza recording 13 kills, one death and six assists.

Team resilience held the advantage for much of the second game and looked set to level the series. PlayTime, however, fought their way back around the 40-minute mark before dominating in the closing stages to secure the series and a place in the final. Abed Azel Yusop delivered a standout performance with 18 kills, one death and 8 assists.

Hector "Wits" Maximo Orozco Alza of PlayTime said, " Team resilience were tough opponents, and the first game was especially difficult to close out. We stayed calm, kept communicating and knew exactly when it was the right time to take our fights. Now we're in the final, and we'll do everything we can to win the tournament."

Yakult Brothers 2-1 Rune Eaters

Yakult Brothers established an early lead and maintained their grip on the game from start to finish to move ahead in the series. Zhou "Emo" Yi stood out, finishing with 19 kills, four deaths and 11 assists. Home team Rune Eaters answered with an equally convincing display in the second game, setting the pace from the outset and maintaining their advantage throughout to draw the series level. Danial "xsvampire" Alibay led the way with 10 kills, no deaths and nine assists as the team from Kazakhstan forced the semifinal into a deciding game.

The deciding game belonged to Yakult Brothers, who put together another dominant showing to secure their place in the final. Zhou "Emo" Yi was once again the standout, finishing with 17 kills, two deaths and 13 assists.

Zhou "Emo" Yi of Yakult Brothers said, "We're really grateful to have reached the final. Tomorrow, we'll approach the match against PlayTime as we normally would, and I hope both teams can show their best in the final."

The final showdown

And then there were two. Tomorrow sees the grand final of MOBA PC Dota 2 presented by CenterCredit, with the third-place playoff kicking off just before. You can watch all the action from the Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov Martial Arts Palace starting at 13:00 local Astana time, when Team resilience and Rune Eaters compete for bronze. The final itself will begin at 17:00 and we will discover whether PlayTime or Yakult Brothers will become this year’s phygital champions.
