3on3 Freestyle will be official Phygital Basketball title at GOTF 2026 in Astana
Fan favorite 3on3 Freestyle will be the official game title for the digital stage of Phygital Basketball at the Games of the Future 2026 in Astana. Known for its speed, style, and competitive depth, the title anchors a format where digital gameplay and real-world performance combine into a single result — a defining feature of phygital sport.
Phygital Basketball will take place from July 29-August 3 at the Athletics Sports Complex “Qazaqstan”. Teams will compete first in-game before taking to the court in a 2-on-2 format, with scores carrying across both stages. A US$400,000 prize pool – and the title of phygital champion – is on the line.
The competition is already taking shape. New challengers such as Team Apex, Dangerous, and Pepesqueros A have already secured qualification, joining returning teams including reigning champions LIGA PRO TEAM and GOTF 2025 third-place finalists, PBC Astana.
The final line up will be decided at Phygital Contenders Astana 2026, from 10–13 June at the Ushkempirov Martial Arts Palace. Teams from Argentina, Pakistan, Spain, Turkey, and others will compete for the final spots and a shot at global glory.
Phygital Basketball is one of eight disciplines at the Games of the Future 2026, taking place from 29 July–9 August in Astana. Across 12 days, the event will bring together more than 900 participants from over 50 countries, with over 100,000 fans expected to pack out arenas across the city, and millions more tuning in worldwide.
